HTI+ HOME TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION

Become a certified HTI+ technician to make a positive difference in your career. Gain competencies for a technician servicing the automated home industry: information technology, building trades, electricians, HVAC installers, audio/video integrator and home security technicians. Don’t be afraid of this class if you are a novice. This class will get you where you want to be in the workforce.

A+ CERTIFICATION

Having an A+ certification proves that you have a broad base of knowledge and competency in core hardware and operating system technologies: including; installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance and basic networking. In this course, you will build your own computer from individual components. This course will prepare you to take the A+ Certification Exam. Computer components and books are included in the tuition. The student is responsible for the cost of the A+ Exam. Familiarity with Windows and basic PC operations is required.

MCP, the first in a series of other Microsoft certifications, provides students with the skills necessary to successfully implement, manage, and troubleshoot existing networks and system environments.

BASICS OF BUYING ON EBAY

This course is the official eBay University introductory course as taught by eBay. You will create a user id, learn how to find out the worth of an item, place a bid to buy an item and how to pay when you win. These two-hour, hands-on quick courses are designed for corporate workers and individuals who want to advance their skills. You do not have to take the first course in order to attend the second. Kim Beavers, Master level Microsoft Office Specialist instructor, will teach you shortcuts, tips and tricks to advance your productivity to the next level. All classes are on Wednesday from 4 - 6 pm.           Tuition:  $39

This class will teach you what each icon does and will provide you the basics of how to customize your toolbars, menus, and use the drawing toolbar. It will also cover how to work in Microsoft Word to do some features like executive summaries, track changes, or table of contents.         

Word II & Publisher I

Learn tips and tricks to create and format tables, newsletters, and Table of Contents. Create letterhead in Word so that all your correspondence looks professional. We will cover clip art and graphic manipulation using Word. Learn the basics of how to use Publisher. We will create a calendar, a card, and a banner in class.

This class will teach you how to create your own slide designs, using the master slides. It will cover how to import text form Word, a chart from Excel, and movie clips.

Learn the basic of Access to create a database. You will learn how to create a table and forms to enter data. You need 10 mailing addresses for class. This class is a prerequisite for Access II.
