PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: GENERAL INFORMATION

CONTINUING EDUCATION UNIT (CEU)
The purpose of a CEU is to provide a measurable record of continued growth and development in noncredit programs. One CEU is earned for each ten contact instructional hour.

CONFIRMATION AND CANCELLATIONS
We do not send class confirmations. You will be notified if your class is changed or cancelled.

REFUND INFORMATION
Full refunds will be given within 10 business days if a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment. If you have to cancel your class, you must do so one week before the start of that class to receive a refund. There is a $10 cancellation fee.

SCHOOL CLOSINGS
Unscheduled closings due to weather conditions or emergencies will be broadcasted on WAKR, WHLO, WKDD, WNIR, WONE and WQMX.

SATISFACTION GUARANTEED
In an effort to guarantee your satisfaction, a credit voucher will be issued if you are not satisfied with your class.

SMOKING
Portage Lakes Career Center is a smoke free campus.

NORTH CENTRAL ACCREDITATION
Portage Lakes Career Center's Adult Education has met the requirements to be accredited through the North Central Association of Colleges and Universities. The Association works to improve the quality of education through a system of evaluation and accreditation.

From I-77, take exit 118 (Route 241 - Massillon Road). Go south for 1.2 miles, turn right on Steese Road. Go 0.3 miles to Shriver Road, turn left. The school is on the left 0.4 miles after turning. Enter the south entrance near the flagpole.
