HEALTH INSURANCE CLAIM FORMS
Learn the step-by-step procedures for filing HCFA-1500 claim forms for
commercial insurance companies and government agencies; the proper way
to file each individual block on the HCFA claim form according to
insurance company guidelines; roles and responsibilities of a health
insurance claims form specialist. You’ll also learn how to submit
medical insurance claims with proper coding using a billing software
that includes patient accounts insurance claims, scheduling, and
reports. Also covered: health insurance intro, managed healthcare, life
cycle of an insurance claim, legal and regulatory considerations, coding
from source documents, HCFA reimbursement issues, Medicare, Medicaid,
Tricare, and
Workers Compensation claims. Prerequisite: Computer Skills, Medical

MEDICAL OFFICE PROCEDURES
Learn the basic skills required of clerical staff members to work in a
medical office. Students will learn Medisoft software to schedule
appointments, keep accurate records, make patient referrals and
insurance inquiries, and prepare patient charts. Prerequisites: Medical
Terminology and Keyboarding.

PHLEBOTOMY SKILLS TRAINING
Attention medical assistants, nurses, and paramedics! Enhance your
technique in drawing blood from even the most difficult patient. Safety
precautions in handling blood are emphasized. OSHA Guidelines taught, no
externships available. Drug testing and Criminal Records Check are part
of the tuition and will be done during class time at an undisclosed
time. Insurance Coverage is also part of the tuition and will be
obtained for the student. A student must have a TB test prior to
starting at the student’s expense. You must bring a copy of GED or high
school diploma. Certification exams are at the expense of the student.

EKG

AMERICAN RED CROSS CPR TRAINING
Are you prepared to save a life? Emergencies happen when you least
expect them. It pays to be prepared. Sudden cardiac arrest, a leading
cause of death in the United States, accounts for more than 200,000
deaths every year. It is estimated that 95% of cardiac arrest victims
die before they reach a hospital or other source of medical help. Attend
this class to learn the skills needed to save a life. American Red Cross
CPR training is available for anyone 16 years or older. We will
customize the training to meet the needs of specific groups and
individuals. Whether you want training for employees, or simply want to
know how to help in an emergency, this training is for you. Registration
must be completed one week prior to the first class.

CHALLENGING
Challenges give the previously trained individual the opportunity to
re-certify without taking the full course work. The candidate for
re-certification will be responsible for passing the written and skill
tests
to earn certification. These sessions take approximately one hour
