COLLEGE INFORMATION Visits from area college representatives are arranged through the Career Center’s guidance department. We help guide our students to choose the college that best fits their interest and career goals. Articulation Agreements In some of Portage Lakes Career Center’s programs, students learn the same skills as in a college course. This is also referred to as Articulation. Those students may get college credit for completing high school work. The Career Center has articulation agreements with the following area colleges: Stark State College of Technology, The University of Akron, The Ohio State University, and Hocking College. Through these articulation agreements, Portage Lakes Career Center graduates earn their college degree quicker without repeating course work. Students who enter career programs with this option must make sure their work meets the high quality standards needed for articulation credit. A student may earn up to twelve (12) credits. These credits may or may not be transferable. For further information on the articulation agreements, contact the Career Center’s guidance counselors: Virginia Hill pl_hill@portagelakescareercenter.org Paula Martin pl_martin@portagelakescareercenter.org
